Before most trips I’ve caught myself doing the same scattered check: one tab for visa requirements, another for how many months of validity my passport needs, a government site for the current travel advisory, and a vague memory of whether the destination wants a yellow fever certificate. None of those sources agree on how to present the information, and none of them tell you the one thing you actually want to know: are you good to go, or not?

I built VisaPing to answer that with one number instead of four tabs.

What VisaPing Checks Today

Enter your passport country and destination, and VisaPing checks:

  • Visa requirements: whether you need a visa, an ETA, or nothing at all, based on your actual passport, not a generic country guide
  • Passport validity: many countries require six months of validity beyond your travel dates — VisaPing tells you if yours clears that bar
  • Vaccination requirements: yellow fever, malaria, and other requirements that vary by destination
  • Travel advisories: current warnings and advisory levels, so you know the risk before you commit

All of that rolls up into the VisaPing Score, a single number from 0 to 100. Green means go, amber means check something before you book, red means there’s a real blocker. No account needed, results in seconds.

Why I’m Building This in the Open

VisaPing is genuinely early. The core readiness check is live and it works, but it’s not the finished product yet. Country coverage is still growing, the underlying data needs to get deeper in places, and notifications (so your score updates if an advisory changes before you fly) aren’t built yet.

I’d rather ship the part that already solves the annoying part of the problem than sit on it until every feature is done. That means the roadmap gets shaped by what people actually run into when they use it, not by what I guessed people would want in a spec written up front. If you check a route and the data looks thin or wrong, that’s the most useful bug report I can get right now.

Try It

VisaPing is live at visaping.app. Run your next trip through it before you book, and if something’s missing or off, tell me — it directly shapes what gets built next.
