If you’re a Miles and More member chasing Frequent Traveller, Senator, or HON Circle status, you already know the frustration. Lufthansa’s own portal is cluttered, the numbers are spread across multiple screens, and there’s no single view that answers the one question that matters: where do I actually stand?
I got tired of doing the mental math every time I landed. So I built MileHunter.
What MileHunter Does
MileHunter is a clean dashboard for tracking your Miles and More status in one place. It shows you:
- Points and Qualifying Points: your current count and how far you are from the next tier
- Award miles: your redeemable balance, always visible
- CO2 compensation contributions: tracked alongside your flights, so you can see if topping up makes the difference between tiers
- Progress toward Frequent Traveller, Senator, and HON Circle: visualised clearly, with the qualifying flight count in plain sight
No noise. No upsells. No buried menus. Just the numbers that matter.
The CO2 Angle
Here’s something the official portal makes harder than it should be. CO2 compensation contributions count toward your Points and Qualifying Points. If you’re sitting close to a tier boundary at year end, a targeted compensation can push you over the line.
MileHunter shows you that gap directly. You see exactly how many Points you’re short of Frequent Traveller, Senator, or HON Circle, and you can model whether a CO2 contribution is worth it before you spend a single franc.
It’s not about HON Circle hunting. It’s about making informed decisions at every tier.
Why I Built It
I’m an avgeek. I fly a lot for work, and I take the hobby seriously. I track routes, optimise itineraries, and pay attention to alliance benefits. Even so, the existing tools were frustrating.
The Miles and More portal needs too many clicks to find your tier progress. Third party trackers are either outdated, overly complex, or built for a different loyalty programme.
I wanted something that felt like it was made for me. A frequent traveller who also happens to be a software developer. So I made it.
Built on Simplicity
The design philosophy behind MileHunter is the same one I apply to everything I build at salnova. Do one thing, do it well, and don’t make the user work harder than they need to.
The dashboard loads fast, looks clean on any device, and puts your most important numbers front and centre. That’s it.
